Epilogue to and Act of Hate

Written by: Owen Drahkele

Icicle chin
Knotting the brown wool
Against the barbed wire

Of hate

Tuft of beast flowing
Stuck in the muddy frieze

Of hate

The caregivers
Speak to me
The car drivers
Speak to me

The new steel snow
Floats down
The first field

Of hate

The streaming manuscripts
High on this misty thirsty land

Of hate

The caregivers
Speak to me
The car drivers
Speak to me

A line of broken silver fenders
Under the still sifting snows

Of hate

Stampeding horses worm a hard
Fingering path around and through
The pink hate

And in the second first
There is nothing
Just white

Of hate
